You'd make a good dungeon master, I can tell.

I'm sort of watching the Oscars and thinking about my forever love of James Franco. It all started with 'Daniel Desario' of course on Freaks and Geeks, one of my favorite things. I just kind of love how he does whatever he wants (which is pretty much...everything?), makes the greatest facial expressions, and always seems like he is in another world. I'm sure you understand! I feel like we've probably shared every Freaks and Geeks clip on here before, but there's always room for more!

I never get tired of this one, as I'm sure you can tell, haha.

Nighthawks

Some of my favorites from Edward Hopper: Automat, New York Movie, and Nighthawks.

In school I must have done at least three essays and studies of his work, as there is always just so much to talk about and discover in it. I love how so many of his paintings, and not only the famously titled "Nighthawks" have that solitary, 'up all night thinking' feeling to them. It's that exact moment in the night where time seems to stand still, and you can catch up on stringing all of your thoughts together. If this does not make sense I apologize, its only because I have been doing exactly that for a bit too long!

Time's a Wastin

I think that I've always taken a lot of inspiration from 1960's and 1970's country stars, and those who emulate them well. I love the dark hair with curls and extra girly dresses that they always had occasion to wear. Riding boots are another favorite of mine, along with a bit of plaid, two things that I find myself wearing all the time in the Fall and Winter. They always had the best sundresses too, which makes me excited for Summer!

La La Love You

The Cheese Knees

I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned this before, but I'm a grilled cheese enthusiast. Grilled cheese sandwiches are one of my top favorite foods, and I love to spend (waste? noo) lots of time on sites like these two admiring the work of genius grilled cheese artists. Some day I hope to be able to craft such lovely sandwiches! Just thinking about grilled cheese makes me miss Toronto, and the really nice restaurant in Kensington market called 'The Grilled Cheese'. I apologize if this has just made you really hungry...

p.s. Notice Jenna Fischer narrating on Grilled Cheese Academy? Haha!

Playground Love

I have a sort of love/hate relationship with the time of year when it's too cold to go outside. I've been listening to Air a lot lately though, so I'm thinking that maybe I'm ready for Spring.

Special Occasion

I suppose today is a good excuse to look at some pretty pictures and watch a funny video with Morrissey and puppies! (As if I don't already do these things everyday...) Happy Valentine's Day!

Boy

There's not much I love more than white dresses, gold shoes, and soft focuses. The Boy look book by Band of Outsiders puts them all together and adds Kirsten Dunst, so I had to post these pictures even though I'm sure they are all over the place by now! The first picture just might be my new favourite thing!

All The Letters That I Have Never Sent

Happy Friday!

p.s. The end of the Russian Red video is extra funny, haha.

Blueberry

I made some blueberry muffins this afternoon with the most basic recipe, only they are sugar and salt free. I used agave instead, and put some cinnamon in too. Also, I am kind of upset that the first "snow day" happened everywhere, including at my old college, after I graduated. I never got one while I went there! Haha I guess I'll get over it.

You're Wearing Cardigans!

I've been getting a lot of work done lately! In between projects I am working on a small series of my own, that I hope to also turn into a small book perhaps. It's a work in progress, but it's helping me to focus a bit more and to be more creative.

I've also been spending a lot of time listening to Jango, which is amazing! It lets you create "stations" based around certain artists that you like, finding similar musicians and songs for you, then playing them nonstop. It's perfect for me as I am so indecisive when it comes to choosing what I want to listen to, and hate having to stop to change music in the middle of working on something.

Right now I'm kind of in a trip hop faze, probably thanks to my marathon of watching Misfits a few weeks ago. English TV always seems to have such good music! This song is a little more hip hop but it's been in my head forever. Probably because it was designed that way, haha. And I think that this Tricky song was my favorite from Knowle West Boy, which I seem to remember having on repeat around this time last year too...
