While most of my music was deleted in a tragic external hard drive accident (RIP 6 years of music!) I was happy to find that this song was still intact. I didn't listen to most of that music anymore, but it was just nice to know that it was there. Its now hard to ignore the fact that my musical tastes aren't very advanced, as I retrieve and listen to the same few albums and cheesy songs on repeat, haha. Anyways, this song is an old favorite that I always come back to. I love how simple and poignant and...happy it is, in an odd way. I was hoping to find a performance or actual video of the song, because I think that would be enjoyable, but I hope you enjoy it all the same!
Here are a few photos that I took the other day, of the blossoms on our trees. I just wanted to catch them before they were gone! I am starting to feel a bit more inspired to take pictures, something that the winter and feeling ill for a few weeks had put a damper on, and I am looking forward to finding more things to photograph this summer. I love being able to go outside in the nice weather with a purpose, and find more than just flowers, as much as I love them, haha. Last year I had big plans but they kind of got pushed aside. Perhaps a few day trips to new places are in order?
The only thing I really dislike about this time of year, is the start of mosquito season! We get tonnes of them around our house, due to the ponds, and they attack me like crazy. Despite being inside for most of this weekend, I am already covered in bites that I'm sure will last as long as possible, as usual.
I love looking at the initial sketches and scribblings of artists and authors. Here are some of J.K. Rowling's, done while she was dreaming up Harry Potter!
I always really loved the boat scene from "High Society" and was happy to have the chance to revisit it. It was also just really fun to draw and paint classic film stars!
