Wendybird

I'm pretty excited to finally share this project that I've been working on for quite a while! I've made a little website and opened an ebay store to sell vintage in, to coincide with my with my wholesale business. Here are a few photos that I took to go along with it.

Planning out and shooting the lookbook was the best part - as I'd been wanting to have a shoot like this for a long time. I combined a bunch of my favorite things - like cat eye makeup, gold glitter (I did the shoes up myself - as I just haven't found the perfect ones yet in all my years of searching), and 35mm film, some of which was expired.

Model Marley of MIM and hair and makeup artist Caitlin were quite fun to work with, and really helped to bring all of my odd ideas together. I'm even more grateful to them as we shot on a cold December day in my unfinished shed, and there were no complaints!

Anyhow, more photos can be found here, along with more information should anyone be interested. I added a few items to the store last night, but more pieces from the lookbook will be available over the next few weeks.

I hope you're all well, and having a lovely week!

  1. Calla!! Congratulations! I knew it was only a matter of time.

Your website and lookbook are so professional, and the model you hired is too cute. I look forward to your shop updates as I expect I will want to buy many things from you.

  3. Thanks so much you guys! You are so nice! I was so nervous about getting it up and running and sharing it, haha.

Katie, if you ever see anything that you like just let me know and I'll send it to you!

Beth - I actually made it all for free, on tumblr! I just bought the domain name for $4.00, found a theme that I liked, and customized the settings to make it my own. So much easier than making it from scratch, haha. You could totally do it!
