And Crickets Guide You Back

Just a few of the unedited photos I took last night while I was away. The sky was so pretty, it  reminded me of space! I've been obsessed with multiple exposures since first trying using them on my dad's 35 mm years ago.

Also, I wish that we had hilly countrysides over here like they do in the valley. So much more interesting to look at sometimes than flat farmland, haha.

De Wilde

Autumn De Wilde is pretty cool....and she has had the chance to know and photograph some pretty awesome people over the years. How interesting it must be to be the go to photographer for musicians! I'm sure you have seen her photos all over the place before, as she really has photographed everyone!
These are just a few. More can be found here.

I also love her occasional contributions to the Lula Scrapbook!

Chaaange in the weather

I took so many photos of these puppies today. They are growing up so quickly!

I also made some changes to the header, and to the layout (not by choice, blogger is strange). Feel free to switch things around however you'd like though!

Come Monday Night

I'm doing a bunch of this type of custom illustration again, as gifts for a wedding party. I hadn't done them in about a year, but I left a few in a Toronto shop and people keep asking for them to my surprise!

This is Michelle, and she likes blue, and is 'sophisticated'. Its fun making simple drawings purely by personality traits.

I am also very much enjoying 'God Help The Girl'!

"Mona, you told me you were in a coma"

Today I saw 'Dinner for Schmucks', which was pretty funny and cute for a few reasons, but mainly because of 'mouseterpieces' and Jemaine Clement's presence! I had no idea that he was in the movie but got so excited when I saw his name in the opening credits. I have been missing Flight of the Conchords lately, after watching some reruns the other night, and this only made me miss the show more.

I got the impression he was channeling and/or parodying Russell Brand the whole time haha. I quite like all of these actors so this is funny:

I watched this episode the other night and it reminded me of you. And isn't Bret just the cutest?! Missing him so much. I can only dream of having such sweet dance moves.

Etsy Findings

I don't know if I've ever mentioned this, but I have an addiction to online vintage hunting. I've always just assumed that this is something that afflicts many people, but I will literally spend days just sitting and searching through pages of etsy and ebay and such just to find my ideal clothes. Once I start, I really can't stop. Haha it was especially bad 2 days ago, when I was supposed to be drawing and got on one of my typical searches for blue dresses, and then it just expanded into Fall clothes and way too much. I actually didn't do much else until this morning when I made myself snap out of it to do some work.

Anyways, here are a few things that I found in my search...Some of which I hope to buy once I get my hands on some money, haha. And some I just really like looking at. All Photos link to the proper pages!

I bought this one today! It was 10 dollars and I've been looking for a shift dress.

I was devastated when this one sold in the same day it was listed! Good for my bank account though.

In the close up of this one you can see that it is just such a pretty blue!

Ice blue mod dress? Yes please.

This one reminded me of you!

The only thing on my sort of wish list that I haven't been able to find a vintage equivalent of, is this Dear Creatures plaid blouse from this collection. That and the perfect long sleeved peter pan collar shift dress, but I can't be so greedy haha.

Tulips and Clover

The 'Value Village' children's section is always good to me! I was so happy to find both of these dresses for 3 dollars each. I have much better luck there most days, than in the adult section haha.
